Pedro Carmo, a talented individual, was born in the vibrant city of Lisbon, Portugal. Throughout his illustrious career, he has been fortunate enough to be featured in several films that have been selected for prominent film festivals such as the Cannes Film Festival and the Toronto Film Festival.
On stage, Pedro Carmo has had the opportunity to perform in a wide range of plays, from the classics of Shakespeare and Racine to the works of Brecht, Paula Vogel, J.P.Shanley, and Jenny Schwartz. His impressive career has spanned over a decade, with the past twelve years being spent in New York City.
In addition to his stage work, Pedro Carmo has also made a name for himself in television and film. He has appeared in numerous projects on Broadway, including "Breakfast at Tiffany's" directed by Sean Mathias. His television credits include "The Blacklist", "Evil", "Jessica Jones", and "Person of Interest". In film, he has appeared in "The Dry Rain", which premiered at the NYC Indie Film Fest, and "The Hunter" directed by Ian Samplin.
In addition to his work in front of the camera, Pedro Carmo has also ventured into directing. His first short film, "Way", was released in 2016 and earned him a nomination for best director at the International Filmmaker Festival of World Cinema Milan 2016. He co-directed "The Flying Shoelace" with Pedro Marnoto in 2020, which premiered at the Los Angeles Children Film Festival in 2022.
