Pedro Pires, a renowned filmmaker, has made a significant impact in the industry with his collaborative efforts and individual projects. In 2008, he directed the short film "Danse Macabre", which garnered an impressive 43 international awards. Two years later, he directed "HOPE", a short film that earned the Telefilm Canada prize for "Outstanding Canadian Short".
Pires' creative endeavors continued to flourish as he collaborated with Cirque du Soleil in 2011, designing video projections for the show "Totem". The following year, he reunited with Robert Lepage to co-direct the feature film "Triptych". The film received an "Honorable mention of the Ecumenical Jury" at the prestigious Berlinale International Film Festival.
Pires' most recent project, the documentary feature "Alexandre le fou", marked his debut as a producer, writer, and director.
