Peter Christian was born on August 14th, 1947, in Dingle, Liverpool, a city that would play a significant role in shaping his future as a renowned television actor. Christian's early life was marked by a passion for the performing arts, which was sparked when his cousin asked for his help with an amateur dramatics production staged by the Liverpool-based David Lewis Theatre Group.
Although initially intended to assist with set construction and painting scenery, Christian soon found himself cast in a part and was captivated by the thrill of acting. He went on to appear regularly in amateur plays around the area, eventually leading to his first professional role.
Christian's first professional line was "Go away boy," which he delivered with aplomb while wearing a large hat, a moment he would always treasure. This marked the beginning of a successful acting career that would see him take on a wide range of roles in notable theatre productions, including "Look Back in Anger" and "Blood Brothers."
However, it is his iconic portrayal of Frank Rogers, the resident lorry driver of Brookside Close, in the Channel 4 soap "Brookside" that has cemented his status as a household name. Christian's character, Frank, was a fan favorite, and his on-screen presence as a trucker became synonymous with the show.
