Stephen Hewitt, a renowned filmmaker, embarked on a remarkable journey after graduating from England's prestigious National Film and Television School in 1990, armed with his BAFTA award-winning short film, The Candy Show. This accomplishment not only solidified his reputation as a talented filmmaker but also granted him the confidence to venture into the competitive world of Hollywood.

With his short film in hand, Hewitt made his way to the City of Angels, where he set out to make a lasting impression on executives from major U.S. studios. His bold approach, coupled with the impressive quality of his film, eventually led to the securing of a reputable agent, paving the way for his feature film directorial debut.

Hewitt's first major feature film, Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey, although not as commercially successful as its predecessor, still managed to turn a profit, demonstrating his ability to adapt to the demands of the film industry. This milestone marked the beginning of a long and illustrious career in filmmaking, with Hewitt's name becoming synonymous with innovative storytelling and exceptional direction.
