Biography

Peter John Ross, a former broker for a prominent financial institution, has had a multifaceted career spanning various creative endeavors.

Initially, Ross made a name for himself as a broker for a large and influential bank, only to later transition into the world of corporate videos and screenplay development. This experience ultimately led him to create the 'Back Office' short film series, which premiered online.

As the 'Back Office' shorts gained widespread acclaim, Ross's career took a dramatic turn, as he became a full-time filmmaker. The themes of corporate America that emerged in the shorts, however, ultimately led to his departure from the bank.

In the early 2000s, Ross co-founded Sonnyboo Productions, a self-producing video and film production company. This venture allowed him to collaborate as a co-writer and co-producer on the feature-length film "Going Corporate".

Following this success, Ross went on to work on several feature-length and short films, showcasing his versatility as a filmmaker. Notably, he co-created the sci-fi pilot for a series called "New World".

Peter John Ross has made a lasting impact on the filmmaking community by establishing the Columbus Filmmakers Consortium (www.thecfc.org),a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and empowering filmmakers in the Midwest region.
