Pierre Roche, a versatile and accomplished artist, entered this world on March 27, 1919, and ultimately departed on January 29, 2001, leaving behind a legacy that would forever be etched in the annals of music history.

The fateful encounter between Charles Aznavour and Pierre Roche took place at a renowned music hall, where they initially made their mark on the stage by performing their own original compositions in 1944. The duo's remarkable talent did not go unnoticed, as they were promptly recruited by the illustrious Edith Piaf to join her tour in France as part of the prestigious Compagnons de la chanson.

Pierre Roche, a remarkable individual, had the privilege of sharing the stage with the illustrious Charles Aznavour in the 1970s. The renowned singer, known for his soulful voice and captivating performances, invited Roche to join him on stage at the iconic Olympia, a momentous occasion that marked their second collaborative appearance together.

Born in Beauvais, France, Roche's life took a significant turn in 1942 when he relocated to the City of Light, Paris. It was during this time that he crossed paths with a talented young singer, Varenagh Aznavourian, who would later become an integral part of his life's journey.

In the year 1947, a remarkable event took place, as the talented individuals' song "J'ai bu" emerged victorious, claiming the prestigious Grand Prix award. Building upon this success, they went on to record a handful of 78 rpm discs, which, although not widely recognized, did manage to garner a significant amount of local attention and acclaim. Subsequently, they joined the illustrious Edith Piaf on tour, but unfortunately, their performance was met with a chilly reception in the city of New York. Undeterred by this setback, they opted to prolong their stay in Canada, and ultimately, they made the decision to settle down in the province of Quebec.

In the month of May, the year being 1949, the renowned French singer Charles Trenet, known for his impressive vocal talents, brought to the attention of Gérard Thibault, the proprietor of the esteemed cabaret known as Chez Gérard, a duo consisting of two talented individuals, whose names were to become synonymous with the world of music.

It was during this time that Roche, one half of the duo, had the pleasure of meeting a young and aspiring singer by the name of Jocelyne Deslongchamps, who would later be recognized by her stage name, "Aglaé". This chance encounter would ultimately lead to the two individuals forming a strong bond, culminating in their decision to tie the knot.

As a result of this union, the musical partnership between Roche and Aznavour came to an end, marking a new chapter in their lives.

Following a prolonged period of extensive global performances, the duo ultimately decided to relocate permanently to the province of Quebec in the year 1963.
