Piers Paul Read

Piers Paul Read, the son of renowned art historian Herbert Read, embarked on a literary career that would span decades, commencing with his tenure as a critic for the esteemed Times Literary Supplement. Prior to his ascent as a novelist, Read pursued his academic pursuits at the prestigious University of Cambridge. It was during his time in Berlin that he penned his debut novel, "Game in Heaven," co-authored with Tussy Marx, in 1966. This inaugural literary endeavor was widely regarded as one of the most promising works of the decade, showcasing Read's remarkable talent.
