Pisay Pao is a talented Cambodian American actress, widely recognized for her captivating portrayal of Cassandra on the popular Syfy series "Z Nation". Her life journey began in Thailand, where her parents had fled to escape the devastating consequences of Cambodia's civil war.
As a refugee, Pisay's family was eventually sponsored to the United States, ultimately settling in Seattle, Washington. Growing up in this new environment, Pisay found herself navigating the delicate balance between her parents' traditional expectations and her own passion for the performing arts.
It was during her school days that a classmate encouraged Pisay to take a chance and audition for a feature film. This bold move led to her booking her first role, which in turn secured her first agent and paved the way for additional film and television opportunities in Seattle.
The turning point in Pisay's career came when she made the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles in 2011. Her first job in the city was a significant milestone, as she had the opportunity to work with the renowned Oscar-winning director, Alejandro Gonzales Innaritu.
This experience was followed by a series of notable roles, including a series regular position and guest appearances alongside esteemed actors such as Scott Bakula, Sir Timothy Dalton, and Renee Russo.
