Plamena Avramova Getova, a renowned Bulgarian actress, was born on June 1, 1953, in Montana, Bulgaria. She graduated from the National Academy for Theatre and Film Art in Sofia, Bulgaria, in 1976, under the guidance of Professor Grisha Ostrovsky.
Getova's acting career began with a role in the Yambol Theater's production of "Snow Queen" by Hans Christian Andersen, in which she played the part of Gerda. She went on to work in various theaters across Bulgaria, including those in Yambol, Stara Zagora, Burgas, and Sofia, as well as the Bulgarian Army Theater.
Getova is married to Kyrgiakos Argyropoulos, a prominent director and producer of puppet performances, and director of the Puppet Theater. Throughout her career, she has taken on a wide range of roles, including Albena in "Albena" by Yordan Yovkov, Hedwig in "The Wild Duck" by Henrik Ibsen, Lyuba in "Fantasies of Faryatiev" by A. Sokolova, Vela in "Vampire" by A. Strashimirov, Juliet in "Romeo and Juliet" by William Shakespeare, Gilles in "Butterflies are free" by L. Gertsch, Elena in "Uncle Vanya" by A. Chekhov, Emma Bovary in "Madame Bovary" by G. Flaubert, Patricia in "The Last Yankee" by Miller, Nomsen in "Meteor" by Fr.. Dürrenmatt, Mother in "Eurydice" by J. Anouilh, B in "Three Tall Women" by E. Albee, Sevda in "Do you sell demons?" by Boyan Papazov, Elena in "Saturday, Sunday, Monday" by E. Filippo, and Miss Emily Brent in "And Then There Were None" by A. Christie.
