Poppy Angela Delevingne, born on May 3, 1986, is a talented English model and actress. She hails from a prominent family, being the daughter of property developer Charles Hamar Delevingne and Pandora Anne Delevingne (née Stevens),and the elder sister of renowned model and actress Cara Delevingne.
Poppy grew up in a luxurious Belgravia mansion and attended the prestigious Bedales School. Her family's aristocratic roots are evident, with her maternal grandfather being Sir Jocelyn Stevens, the chairman of English Heritage, and her maternal grandmother being lady-in-waiting to Princess Margaret.
Poppy's paternal lineage is equally impressive, with her great-grandfather being the Canadian-born British politician Hamar Greenwood, 1st Viscount Greenwood. Additionally, through her maternal great-great-grandfather, Sir Lionel Lawson Faudel-Phillips, 3rd Baronet, Delevingne descends from the Anglo-Jewish Faudel-Phillips baronets, with two of her ancestors serving as Lord Mayor of London.
Poppy's career in modeling began in 2008 when she was spotted by Storm Model Management founder Sarah Doukas. She has since modeled for numerous high-end brands, including Shiatzy Chen, Laura Ashley, Anya Hindmarch, Alberta Ferretti, and Burberry, and has walked the runway for designers such as Julien Macdonald and Giles Deacon. Her work has been featured in publications like Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Elle, and Love, and she has become the face of the Louis Vuitton summer 2012 collection.
In addition to her modeling career, Poppy is a Young Ambassador for the British Fashion Council and a Chanel brand ambassador. She has also ventured into acting, playing the role of Clara Von Gluckfberg in Kingsman: The Golden Circle and Adrianna Colonna in The Aspern Papers, directed by Julien Landais.
Poppy's personal life is just as intriguing, having been engaged to James Cook, a former model, and marrying him in 2014. She is also close friends with fashion designer Matthew Williamson and actress Sienna Miller, with whom she shared a New York flat.
