Person Biography:
Pratik Sen is a multi-talented Indian film and television actor, singer, poet, and entrepreneur, primarily active in the Bengali film industry. Born on May 6, 1985, in Kolkata to Anuradha Sen and Pratap Sen, Pratik grew up in Deoghar, Jharkhand.
Pratik's acting career began with his first film role in Amar Bodyguard (2013),although his first film release was Prem Bandhan (2009). He then appeared in Passport (2012),Om Shanti (2012),and Dekha Holo Dujonay (2013). His role in Sohra Bridge (2016) earned him a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the 46th International Film Festival of India.
Pratik's breakthrough came with his role in Chol Kuntal (2017),opposite veterans Soumitra Chatterjee and Deepankar De. He then starred in Bhalobashar Bari (2018) and Atithi (2019). Over the years, Pratik received widespread acclaim and recognition.
In addition to his film career, Pratik made his television debut with the super hit comedy drama Khokababu (2016),playing the titular role alongside Trina Saha. He won 8 awards and 6 nominations for Khokababu between 2016-2018. Pratik then returned to television with the super hit family drama Mohor (2019),paired with Sonamoni Saha, which made them Bengali TV's favourite couple. He received 8 awards and 3 nominations for Mohor.
Pratik continued his winning streak with his role in Acropoliis Entertainment's Shaheber Chithi (2022),alongside Debchandrima Singha Roy. He is also set to star in the feature film "Behaya" alongside Sonamoni Saha, directed by Mainak Bhaumik, although the project is currently on hold.
After Shaheber Chithi, Pratik joined Magic Moments's serial Ekka Dokka (2022) as a parallel male lead, playing the character Dr. Anirban Guha, who will be instrumental in reuniting the lead pair. The serial reunites fan favourites Pratik and Sonamoni Saha on screen.
