Priscilla Diane Alden, a talented and versatile character actress, was born on June 27, 1939, in San Francisco, California. Her family relocated to Santa Barbara, where she attended high school and later graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
After pursuing higher education, Priscilla earned a master's degree in English literature from the University of Montana. She then returned to the Bay Area to enroll in the School of Drama at San Francisco State College, where she honed her acting skills.
Throughout the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, Priscilla appeared in a diverse range of stage productions, showcasing her remarkable versatility. Her performances took place in esteemed venues such as the Magic Theatre, Theatre Rhinoceros, and the One Act Theatre Company.
In 1982, Priscilla received the prestigious Bay Area Theatre Critics Award for her outstanding portrayal of Lady Bracknell in a stage production of "Earnest in Love" at the Lamplighters theatre. Her impressive acting skills also led her to appear as a spear carrier in operas.
Priscilla's most iconic role, however, remains her unforgettable portrayal of Ethal Janowski, an obese and unhinged compulsive eater serial killer, in the cult cinema classic Criminally Insane (1975). Her equally memorable performance as Edith Mortley, a deranged and dangerous character, in Death Nurse (1987) further solidified her cult cinema popularity.
Tragically, Priscilla passed away at the age of 68 on August 24, 2007, due to complications from diabetes, in her home in San Francisco, California.
