Biography

Pryde Pierce is a multifaceted creative force residing in the sun-kissed state of Southern California. His impressive repertoire includes producing, directing, writing, and acting in numerous award-winning short films, garnering widespread critical acclaim for his stage performances.

Born into a strong Protestant household, Pierce is a third-generation Pastor's son, raised in the heartland of Illinois. At the tender age of seventeen, he joined the Army Infantry, serving with distinction during his two-year active duty contract. His remarkable military career was marked by three promotions, a meeting with then-President of Haiti Jean Bertrand Aristide, and the receipt of two Army Achievement Medals and a Good Conduct Medal.

Following his military service, Pierce transitioned into the music industry, co-founding a music production company with a group of friends. He produced a diverse range of R&B and Hip-Hop local acts, as well as his own R&B singing group, "Sylohet." However, his disillusionment with the music business led him to return to academia.

At college, Pierce stumbled upon his first play, "A Raisin in the Sun," and was bitten by the acting bug. He became enamored with the art of visual storytelling and began self-studying, supplementing his knowledge with acting classes for non-majors. He devoured any book on acting and production he could find, and his dedication paid off as he was cast in each of the next five plays he auditioned for.

By chance, Pierce was brought into local independent commercial and film projects, further honing his craft. He was subsequently considered for the Acting MFA program at California Institute of the Arts, ultimately deciding to relocate to Southern California. Since then, Pierce has continued to expand his skill set, accumulating awards for his work and paving the way for a successful career in visual storytelling.
