To prepare for the demanding role, Albay was required to gain a significant 80 pounds in a remarkably short period of time. However, after the production wrapped, he was able to lose all the weight he had gained, showcasing his impressive dedication to his craft.
Fortunately, his performance in "Dossier K" did not go unnoticed by critics, who praised his portrayal of the gangster. He received a nomination for the Flemish Ensors, often referred to as the Flemish equivalent of the Oscars, and was awarded the prestigious Silver Horse award for Best Male Actor in 2011.
