Rachel Benaissa is a French actress and writer based in London, whose professional career has spanned a wide range of projects in the entertainment industry.
As an actress, she has had the opportunity to work with esteemed directors and actors, including Academy Award-nominated director Lenny Abrahamson on the BBC TV series "Normal People", alongside Aisling Bea on the TV series "This Way Up", and in the TV series "Murder In Provence" as Clemence Elliot.
In addition to her work as an actress, Rachel has also made a name for herself as a writer, with her dramedy feature script "Juliet Is Fine" placing in the top 10% of the 2020 and 2021 Academy Nicholl Screenwriting Fellowship and as a finalist in the 2021 PAGE International Screenwriting Awards.
Her TV pilot "Inadequate" has also received recognition, placing as a quarterfinalist in the 2022 Filmatic Pitch Now Screenplay Competition and in the 2022 ScreenCraft Screenwriting Fellowship.
Furthermore, Rachel's television feature for a US network channel has wrapped production in Florida, and she is currently developing her short film "The Commitment", which placed as a Top 5 Finalist in the 2022 Shore Scripts Film Fund.
In her upcoming projects, Rachel will feature as Allegra in the Netflix romcom "Irish Wish", starring Lindsay Lohan and Ed Speelers.
