Biography

Raghad, a talented actress of Syrian descent, was raised in Edinburgh from the tender age of two. Following her passion for the performing arts, she pursued a degree in acting at Telford College, which led to her securing a spot at the prestigious Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where she earned a BA in Acting.

Raghad's early career saw her take on the role of Mary Queen of Scots in the play 'Mary, the Last Farewell', marking her first professional performance after drama school. Shortly after relocating to London, she landed a part in the Royal Court production of 'How to Hold Your Breath', starring alongside the renowned Maxine Peake.

Her breakthrough in television came with a role in Peter Kosminsky's critically acclaimed series 'The State', which paved the way for her casting in the BBC and Netflix drama 'Collateral', directed by S.J. Clarkson and starring the talented Carey Mulligan.

In 2019, Raghad returned to the London stage, this time at the Bridge Theatre, where she starred alongside Zoë Wanamaker in the production of 'Two Ladies', directed by the esteemed Sir Nicholas Hytner.

Most recently, Raghad has been seen in the highly anticipated film 'Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker' and the Sky Atlantic series 'I Hate Suzie', starring the talented Billie Piper. She has also been involved in the short film 'Adnan', which has been touring the festival circuit and has garnered an impressive 24 laurels to date. The film has also raised over £25,000 for the charity Choose Love.

During the pandemic, Raghad performed a one-woman show, 'Revolutions Days', which premiered at The Roxy in Edinburgh and Tramway in Glasgow, and she also filmed the short film 'Fireworks', directed by Paul J. Franklin and starring Charlotte Riley and Denise Gough.

In addition to her acting work, Raghad has begun to explore scriptwriting and is excited to be creating her own projects for the big screen.
