Raiza is a talented actor and comedian who was born and raised in the vibrant city of Miami, Florida. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Theatre Performance from Florida International University, where she honed her skills and prepared for a successful career in the entertainment industry.
Raiza made history as the first bilingual Latina to join the prestigious Harold team, "DiCaprio", and has since become a sought-after performer at Upright Citizens Brigade. She can be seen taking the stage with her improv teams, including "Spanish Aqui Presents" SAP, which is the first and only Latinx UCB House team. SAP consistently sells out shows and has gained a loyal following.
In addition to her improv work, Raiza is a host on the Earwolf network, where she collaborates with her teammates from SAP. Her impressive credentials also include being the first woman of color to serve as Artistic Director at Upright Citizens Brigade, a position she took on in July 2022.
Raiza's numerous awards and accolades include winning Outstanding Female Actor at HBO Latino's Official Latino Film Festival in 2020. She has also made appearances on television and in commercials, and her on-screen credits can be found on IMDB.
When she's not making audiences laugh or taking the stage, Raiza is a dedicated mother to her two beloved cats, Meow and Muggsy. She is also an avid basketball player and is working on perfecting her free throws, because, as she says, "ball is life".
Raiza has had the opportunity to share the stage with some big names in the entertainment industry, including a memorable appearance on MTV's TRL, where she sat on Puff Daddy's lap while he introduced the next video on the countdown. The video happened to be Enrique Iglesias' hit single "Bailamos", which made for a thrilling experience for Raiza and the audience.
