Prior to venturing into the world of feature films, Rajeevan gained valuable experience in the realm of art direction by working on ad films and television serials. His breakthrough in the feature film industry came about through his collaboration with Ameer on the 2002 film Mounam Pesiyadhe.
Subsequent to this, Rajeevan's remarkable work in Parthiban Kanavu (2003) earned him widespread acclaim, thus paving the way for his association with the renowned director Gautham Menon on the film Kaakha Kaakha.
