Rajiim, also known as Raj, was born in 1971 in the Bronx, New York, to Rodney and Barbara Gross. He is the eldest of three children.
Growing up, Rajiim was a "Brat" in the U.S. Air Force, spending many years living in the United States and abroad. During his high school and college years, he studied Communication Arts and Theatrical Arts, with a dream of becoming an actor.
However, before pursuing his passion for acting, Rajiim started his career as a Radio DJ. His first on-air gig was at KVIK FM in Fairfield, California, where he worked before and after school at Vanden High School during his freshman year.
In the early 1990s, Rajiim worked as a board operator and part-time air talent at WGTZ FM, also known as Z-93, in Dayton, Ohio. He also worked as a mobile and club DJ during this time.
In 1992, Rajiim married and joined the U.S. Air Force, where he worked as a Supply Specialist and later as a Computer Analyst. He continued to work as an on-air talent at WROX FM, also known as 96x, in Norfolk, Virginia.
During his time in the Air Force, Rajiim made guest appearances on various radio stations and nightclubs. He was a single parent to two children and later divorced, leaving the Air Force in 2000 due to hardships and medical problems.
Rajiim returned to radio for a few years before marrying Kelly T. Smith in 2003. Kelly encouraged Rajiim to pursue his passion for acting, and he has since done so.
Together, Rajiim and Kelly have a blended family of four children and several grandchildren. Rajiim has also done voiceover commercial work for radio stations and personal clients.
In a short time, Rajiim has worked with several prominent actors, who have shared their experience and advice with him. His first professional acting role was as an uncredited Federal Agent in the 2017 film Reprisal, where he met actor Frank Grillo.
Frank Grillo gave Rajiim valuable information that he has applied to his acting career, which has been paying off. Rajiim has built an international reputation as an actor and director, and is a member of several film organizations, including the Southern Ohio Filmmakers Association and the Cincinnati Production Meet Up.
Rajiim and his wife Kelly have recently received the titles of Lord and Lady, with Rajiim being titled "Lord Rajiim A. Gross Sr." and Kelly being titled "Lady Kelly T. Gross".
