Biography

Here is the biography of Ralph Rieckermann:

Ralph Rieckermann's musical journey began at the tender age of seven, when he demonstrated a natural aptitude and interest in all things musical. As a young boy, his innate musical talents were nurtured by private lessons with renowned tutors, focusing on the disciplines of Jazz, Latin, and Rock. Under the guidance of his tutors, Ralph began playing the electric bass, guitar, drums, and percussion.

As he entered his teenage years, Ralph decided to take his passion for music to a professional level, and he started classical lessons on piano and the upright bass. This led him to study classical music for four years at one of Germany's most esteemed Music Conservatories. His Conservatory training included music history, composition, upright bass, piano, and classical orchestra, providing him with a solid foundation to create musical styles that combine almost all genres.

Ralph's global success began in 1991 when he joined the world-famous rock band The Scorpions as their new Bass Player. During his 12-year tenure with the band, he recorded eight gold and platinum-awarded albums that sold millions of copies worldwide. In addition to his contributions as Bass Player, Ralph co-wrote the song "Mysterious," which became the band's most successful song since "Winds of Change." The song reached third place on the American charts, and throughout his time with The Scorpions, Ralph toured the world six times.

In 1999, while still touring with The Scorpions, Ralph was offered his first film score for the movie Lancelot: Guardian of Time (1997),starring Mark Singer, Claudia Christian, and John Saxon. This experience sparked a new passion for scoring for cinema and film producing, which became his new life's work.

Ralph's involvement in the film industry continued to grow, and he co-produced and co-financed the movie Gangland (2001),starring Costas Mandylor, Sasha Mitchell, Kathleen Kinmont, Ice-T, Coolio, Jennifer Gareis, and Kristanna Loken. In addition to producing Gangland, Ralph also acted in and wrote the two main title tracks.

As his passion for film grew, Ralph ended his work with The Scorpions in 2004 and has since created film scores for over 38 feature films. He has also won three awards, including the Nyciff 2011 Genre Award Best Original Score for "The Last Gamble."

In addition to his work as a composer, Ralph has taken on the responsibility of music supervision for over 26 films. His unique combination of digital and live instrumentation allows him the creative flexibility and tools to compose for any genre of music, from rock to classical.

With his intimate knowledge of music and composition, combined with his many years of Rock and film industry experience, Ralph Rieckermann is one of the most promising new composers to watch.
