Randall Barnett is set to appear in the upcoming indie thriller Beneath the Leaves, alongside Oscar-winning actress Mira Sorvino, in a supporting role. In this film, he plays the character of "Larry," a rugged and charismatic tow yard operator who is never far from his favorite snack, an apple.
But Randall's most significant achievements lie in his work with Inclusion Films, a workshop that empowers high-functioning special needs young people to express themselves through filmmaking. As a lead actor in several projects, Randall had to push beyond his comfort zone to collaborate with students who face unique challenges, including bipolar disorder, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and autism.
These individuals taught Randall the importance of vulnerability and authenticity, and he credits them with helping him unlock new depths of creativity. Their passion and dedication inspired him to be more open and expressive in his own work.
Randall's theatrical credits are equally impressive, with a notable performance in Mister Roberts at The Coronado Playhouse, for which he won the Aubrey Award for his portrayal of "Manion." His bold choice to enter Act II wearing only a grass skirt earned him the Stage Manager's Award for "Best Dressed!"
Randall's acting technique is rooted in the teachings of Stanislavsky and Meisner, and he has had the privilege of studying with renowned acting coach D.J. Sullivan. He is currently honing his craft at Second City Improv in Hollywood.
Randall's journey to becoming an actor is a testament to his perseverance and dedication. He discovered his passion for acting later in life and has since become a force to be reckoned with, bringing depth and nuance to every character he embodies.
