Rao Heidmets, a talented and accomplished Estonian filmmaker, has made a significant impact in the world of animation. With a career spanning over four decades, Heidmets has worn many hats, including that of a director, producer, and screenwriter.

It all began in 1982, when Heidmets started working at Tallinfilm, a renowned Estonian film production company. His tenure at Tallinfilm laid the foundation for his future success, and in 1991, he took the bold step of founding his own production company, Rao Heidmetsa Filmistuudio.

Since 2002, Heidmets has been a film director at Nukufilm, a leading Estonian animation studio. His impressive body of work has garnered numerous accolades, including the prestigious Order of the White Star, V class, in 2005.

One of Heidmets' most notable and enduring works is the animated film "Noblesse oblige," released in 1989. This critically acclaimed film has cemented Heidmets' reputation as a master of his craft, and his influence can still be felt in the world of animation today.
