Raphaël Millet is a multifaceted individual with a diverse range of accomplishments in the film industry.
As a graduate of the Paris Institute of Political Studies, Millet went on to pursue further education, completing a postgraduate degree with a Master in Film Studies at University Sorbonne Nouvelle - Paris 3.
Following his academic pursuits, Millet worked for various organizations, including the French National Centre for Cinema, France Télévisions, and the French embassy in Singapore and Dubai, where he held the positions of cultural and audiovisual attaché.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Millet has also taught film studies at University Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris from 1997 to 2002, and has written extensively about movies in various publications, including magazines, dictionaries, and encyclopedias.
Millet has authored several books on film, including "Cinémas de la Méditerranée, cinémas de la mélancolie" (2002),"Le Cinéma de Singapour" (2004),"Singapore Cinema" (2006),and "Cinema in Lebanon / Le Cinéma au Liban" (2017).
In 2007, Millet co-founded Nocturnes Productions, a production company that has produced several documentaries on the history of cinema, including "Code Name Melville" (2008),"Jean-Luc Godard, Disorder Exposed" (2012),"Edgar Morin, Chronicle of a Gaze" (2014),and others.
As a director, Millet has helmed several films, including "Pierre Schoendoerffer, the Sentinel of Memory" (2011),"The Cinematographic Voyage of Gaston Méliès to Tahiti" (2014),"Gaston Méliès and His Wandering Star Film Company" (2015),and "Chaplin in Bali" (2017).
Millet is a member of SCAM (Société civile des auteurs multimedia) in France and EDN (European Documentary Network) in Europe.
