Rasika Dugal was born in Jamshedpur, a city in eastern India, and began her educational journey by attending Sacred Heart Convent for her primary schooling. She then pursued a bachelor's degree in Mathematics (Honors) from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, a prestigious institution located in Delhi, the capital city of India.
Following her undergraduate studies, Rasika attended Sophia Polytechnic in Mumbai, a renowned institution, to earn a Post Graduate Diploma in 'Social Communications Media'. Her academic pursuits continued as she went on to obtain a Post Graduate Diploma in Acting from the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII),a prestigious film school located in Pune, a city in western India.
Throughout her career, Rasika has taken on significant roles in various films, original series, and short films, showcasing her versatility as an artist by playing diverse characters in productions that are both artistically challenging and socially relevant. Her notable performances include feature films such as 'Manto', 'Hamid', 'Qissa', 'Kshay', and 'Lootcase', as well as short films like 'Chutney', 'The School Bag', and 'Banana Bread'.
In digital series, Rasika has garnered widespread acclaim and popularity for her portrayal of complex characters, including Beena Tripathi in 'Mirzapur' (Amazon Prime),Neeti Singh in 'Delhi Crime' (Netflix),and Dr Meera Kapoor in 'Out of love' (Hotstar).
When not engaged in her acting pursuits, Rasika enjoys reading Urdu poetry, learning music, and listening to podcasts. She resides in Mumbai, a city in western India known for its vibrant cultural scene and thriving film industry.
