Ray Xifo's path to becoming an actor was a winding and deliberate one, marked by a series of pivotal events and experiences that began to take shape during his formative years in high school and college. What initially seemed like a calling to pursue a career as a priest in the Salesian Order gradually gave way to a newfound passion for the performing arts, as he simultaneously pursued his studies at Columbia University while also honing his skills in drama classes.
After spending three consecutive years imparting knowledge and wisdom to the youth in Salesian schools, Xifo embarked on a profound journey of self-discovery, a period of introspection that would ultimately lead him to reexamine his vocational calling and, in a bold move, decide to depart from the Salesian Order. This significant turning point marked the commencement of a new and uncharted chapter in his life, as he made the bold decision to relocate to the vibrant and cosmopolitan city of New York.
Upon arriving in the city that never sleeps, Xifo dedicated himself to refining his craft, exploring a diverse array of artistic mediums and platforms, including the avant-garde and experimental world of off-off-Broadway productions, the rich cultural heritage of regional theater, the bright lights and big stages of Broadway, the fast-paced and ever-changing landscape of television, and the magical and captivating realm of film.
As the years went by, Xifo's determination to follow his dreams only intensified, and by 1998, he had reached a pivotal moment in his life, one that would forever alter the course of his journey. With an unwavering sense of purpose, he made the bold and courageous decision to leave behind the familiar and embark on a new adventure, relocating to the city of angels, Los Angeles, alongside his loving wife, Kay Foster.
It was in this vibrant and eclectic metropolis, teeming with creative energy and artistic expression, that Xifo continued to nurture his passion for acting, pouring his heart and soul into every role he took on. His talent and dedication soon paid off, as he began to land roles in a wide range of TV, movie, and theater productions, further solidifying his position as a talented and versatile performer.
