Rebekka Karijord is a multifaceted composer and musician hailing from Sandnessjøen, a charming coastal town situated just south of the Arctic Circle in Northern Norway. Born and raised in this breathtakingly beautiful region, she has spent her career crafting music for a wide range of projects, including over 30 films, modern dance performances, and theatrical pieces, as well as releasing six solo albums under her own name.
As a composer, Rebekka has had the privilege of working on numerous high-profile projects, including the score for Margreth Ohlin's "Songs of Earth", which saw her record The London Contemporary Orchestra at the renowned Air Studios. In addition, she has contributed music to Hulu's documentary "I Am Greta", which tells the inspiring story of climate activist Greta Thunberg, as well as Amazon Studios' drama thriller feature "All The Old Knives", Universal Pictures' film "Explorer", and an upcoming A24 feature documentary thriller.

With her impressive breadth of experience and skills as a studio technician, songwriter, and programmer, Rebekka has had the opportunity to work on a wide range of commissioned projects, from American studio film scores to theatre productions for The Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm and The National Opera House in Norway. Her music has been written for a variety of ensembles, from orchestras to more intimate electro-acoustic scores.
