Reece was born and raised in Normanton, West Yorkshire, a small town in the heart of England, where he spent his formative years surrounded by the rich cultural heritage of the region. This rigorous training program laid the foundation for a long and successful acting career in television, theatre, film, and radio drama.
Throughout his career, Reece has appeared in some of the most celebrated TV shows and films over the last thirty-five years, working alongside a diverse range of talented actors and directors. He has starred in numerous high-profile productions, including the popular television series Home to Roost, the critically acclaimed film I.D., and the highly regarded movie adaptation of Hamlet, in which he played the role of Guildenstern alongside Timothy Spall's Rosencrantz.
Reece's impressive resume also includes a wide range of stage appearances nationwide, including productions at The National Theatre, The Royal Shakespeare Company, The Royal Exchange Manchester, and The West Yorkshire (Leeds) Playhouse, where he had the honor of playing the leading role of Jack Rover in Wild Oats in the theatre's inaugural production some twenty-nine years ago.
In addition to his acting career, Reece has also ventured into directing, helming six single dramas in the BBC Television series 'Moving On' for Jimmy McGovern, one of which (Eighteen, starring Rosie Cavaliero) won the Royal Television Society Award for Best Daytime Program.
