Person biography:
Rich Ting was born in Los Angeles, California, and is a 4th generation Asian American. He grew up as an athlete, playing collegiate football at Yale University while earning a B.A. and later achieving dual J.D./M.B.A. degrees. Ting decided to switch careers and pursue his passion for the entertainment industry, specifically as an actor.
Ting has appeared in numerous hit shows, including F.B.I., Magnum P.I., NCIS: Los Angeles, Supergirl, Waco, Rush Hour, and Chicago P.D. He has also starred in Korean drama television series Iris, feature films No Tears For the Dead, Real, and Lone Survivor.
Ting is most well-known for his iconic character 'Bolo' in the HBO Max drama series Warrior and 'Captain Iijima' in Amazon Prime's The Man in the High Castle.
In recent years, Ting has been seen in FX's The Old Man, Netflix's Partner Track, and Apple's Hello Tomorrow. He has also appeared in Disney Freeform's AZNBBGRL and Paramount+'s Tulsa King.
In addition to his acting career, Ting is a martial arts expert, holding a 1st degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He has performed stunts in films such as G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra, The Green Hornet, Gamer, and Crank 2: High Voltage.
Ting is married to his wife and they have two Maltese dogs, Somi and Nori. He enjoys traveling, trying new foods, and is still active in the martial arts world.
