Richa Gangopadhyay is a former Indian film actress and model who has made a significant impact in the Telugu film industry, with appearances in a few Tamil and Bengali films as well. Currently, she is pursuing her Master's in Business Administration degree at Washington University in the United States.
Her acting career began with commercials, before making her film debut in the Telugu political drama Leader in 2010. She went on to appear in several commercially successful Telugu films, including Nagavalli, Mirapakaay, Sarocharu, and Mirchi. In addition, she played the lead role in two Tamil films, Osthe, a Dabangg remake, and Mayakkam Enna, a critically acclaimed film directed by Selvaraghavan, for which she received numerous 'Best Actress' awards. Her Bengali film credits include Bikram Singha.
Throughout her four-year career, Richa Gangopadhyay had the opportunity to work alongside prominent actors from Telugu, Tamil, and Bengali cinema, including Venkatesh, Nagarjuna, Ravi Teja, Prabhas, Dhanush, and Prosenjit.
In October 2013, Richa Gangopadhyay announced her decision to leave the film industry and return to the United States to pursue her MBA, bringing an end to her illustrious acting career.
