Born in the state of Minnesota, a region in the Midwestern United States, he graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a degree in philosophy.
Professional highlights of his career include headlining in the Cult feature film "APEX", which received a nationwide release from Republic Pictures and a complimentary review in Variety magazine. During this time, he starred in Kellogg's famous Crunchy Nut Commercial "Canyon", which ran for over five years worldwide. These two roles were the answer to a Hard Rock Cafe 'London' napkin trivia question. He has appeared in over 50 national commercials and has been the face or voice of numerous corporations.
He also starred in the short film "The Beast" alongside Roscoe Lee Browne and Martha, a chimpanzee from the Clint Eastwood movies. Mimi Rogers provided Martha's voice. The short film was nominated as one of the five finalists in the Main Draw at the Cannes Film Festival.
In addition, he appeared in the film "I Got the Hook Up" alongside Master P and Joe Estevez. Miramax picked up the film for a U.S. theatre release.
Furthermore, he played the role of Travis Benton, a flamboyant costume designer, in the German feature film "Marlene".
