Richie Koh's journey to stardom began when he emerged as the runner-up on Channel U's campus talent hunt show Hey Gorgeous in 2013. Prior to his foray into the entertainment industry, Richie graduated with a Diploma in Financial Informatics from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, but he had always harbored a dream to become an actor. Unfortunately, he had to put his aspirations on hold until after completing his National Service in 2016.
Richie's impressive performances in various local drama series, including When Duty Calls, 118 Reunion, and Divided, left a lasting impression on viewers. His outstanding portrayals earned him his first nomination for "Best Newcomer" at the Star Awards in 2018.
As his recognition and popularity grew, Richie expanded his horizons by taking on roles in movies. His portrayal of a gangster leader in Wonderful! Liang Xi Mei earned him praise from renowned Singaporean director Jack Neo, and garnered rave reviews from both local and Malaysian fans. His outstanding performance in director Gilbert Chan's horror movie 23:59: The Haunting Hour further cemented his reputation as a talented and versatile artiste.
Subsequently, Richie was catapulted into the spotlight once again with his leading roles in two movies, The Diam Diam Era directed by Jack Neo, which was released in 2020 and 2021, and The Fatekeepers, slated for release in 2022. With his wealth of experience in acting, Richie is now poised to take on even greater challenges and expand his reach to a bigger international platform in the regional market.
