Rico's academic journey eventually came to a close, prompting him to make a significant relocation to the vibrant city of New York, where he would soon find himself fully immersed in the fast-paced and dynamic world of film and television production. In the year 2016, Rico embarked on a significant career shift, relocating to the vibrant city of Los Angeles, where he devoted himself to meticulously refining his multifaceted artistic skills as a writer, director, and actor. Rico's milestone year of 2019 marked the auspicious occasion of his directorial debut, as he proudly presented his short film "Cugurt" to the world, featuring his brother Spencer Turrubiarte, a talented stand-up comedian, in a starring role.
Concurrently, Rico made his official foray onto the silver screen, taking on the character of Sergio in the highly acclaimed short film "Jackie & The Rats", a production masterminded by the visionary directing duo of Erez Heiman and Nadav Heyman.
