Riker Anthony Lynch was born on November 8, 1991, and has since become an all-around entertainer, pursuing a career in both music and acting. In 2007, he relocated with his family to Los Angeles to follow his passion for acting, and it was during this time that he and his siblings formed the pop/rock band R5.
As a member of R5, Riker played bass and sang, and the band embarked on a world tour, performing on five continents and over 300 shows. In addition to his work with R5, Riker gained popularity as an actor, appearing in the hit TV show "Glee" in 2010 and joining the cast for the "Glee Live Tour" in 2011, which included the filming of a live 3D concert film in New York.
From 2012 to 2014, Riker's acting career was put on hold as he focused on releasing four major records and touring extensively with R5. However, in the spring of 2015, he returned to acting, joining the cast of "Dancing With The Stars" season 20 and finishing in second place.
That summer, Riker and R5 embarked on their largest tour to date, playing large amphitheater venues around the world and filming a live concert DVD at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. The tour was promoted through performances on various TV shows, including The American Music Awards, Jimmy Kimmel, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Good Morning America, Live with Kelly and Michael, and The Radio Disney Music Awards.
After the 2015 R5 tour, Riker continued to focus on his acting career, landing lead roles in the high school comedy film "Colossal Youth" and the psychological thriller film "Voyeur". He also hosted The World Choreography Awards in 2015 and 2016, and launched a YouTube and podcast show called "Glass Half Full with Riker Lynch" in 2018.
In addition to his work in film and television, Riker has also pursued his passion for music, releasing his own solo material and playing bass for the alternative band The Driver Era. He has also started his own music side project, Riker and The Beachcombers.
Riker's latest project is his first short film, "Lyft Me Up", which he wrote and directed. With many other projects on the horizon, including producing and starring in a major motion picture set to film in 2020, Riker continues to make a significant impact in the entertainment world.
