Ronald Cyler II, professionally known as RJ Cyler, hails from Jacksonville, Florida, where he was born as the youngest of three brothers. At the tender age of 12, he co-founded a dance team with his older brother, further solidifying his affinity for the performing arts.
In January 2012, RJ's life took a pivotal turn when he stumbled upon an advertisement for open auditions in the Jacksonville area. This serendipitous discovery led to him being invited to Los Angeles for an acting camp, where his mentor encouraged his parents to consider relocating to California to support his burgeoning career. On February 22, 2013, RJ's family took a leap of faith, uprooting their lives to move to Los Angeles. Shortly thereafter, his father and one brother also made the journey, ensuring that RJ had a supportive family behind him as he pursued his dreams.
