Robert A. Emmons Jr., a multifaceted individual with a passion for documentary filmmaking, holds the esteemed position of Associate Teaching Professor within the Department of Visual, Media, and Performing Arts at Rutgers University-Camden, his alma mater.
Born and raised in the Garden State of New Jersey, Emmons's roots run deep in the area. His educational journey began at Rowan University, where he honed his skills in the art of filmmaking.
As his academic pursuits continued, Emmons went on to further his knowledge in the realm of American popular culture, earning graduate degrees from Rutgers University, where he acquired a Master of Arts (M.A.),and Drew University, where he received a Doctor of Letters (D.Litt.).
