Robert Stephen "Bob" Bizik was born on March 4, 1947, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Stephen and Anna Bizik, and was raised alongside his sister Josephine Anna (Bizik) Chladek in the city's Fishtown and Northern Liberties sections.
From an early age, Robert's interest in acting began to take shape at St. Agnes Catholic Elementary School, where he appeared in numerous plays and the acting seed was planted. His sister, Josephine, taught him to dance at the age of seven, and he quickly became hooked.
In addition to dance, Robert learned to play the accordion and saxophone at St. Agnes Catholic School and sang harmony with various Acappella groups. After serving in the 101st. Airborne and 82nd. Airborne Divisions from 1966 to 1971, Robert got married and had two children, Arlene and Adam.
In 1972, Robert pursued his passion for dance, seriously studying the skill at various dance studios in and around Philadelphia, which eventually led him to become a choreographer for local dance groups.
In 1981, a friend, Frank Gorman, asked Robert to audition for a small role in a neighborhood musical with St. Annes Theatre Group, which marked a turning point in his acting career, reviving his love for the craft. Since then, Robert has appeared in numerous films, documentaries, commercials, and TV series.
Robert further honed his skills by studying Improv, Technique, Script Analysis, and Character Development/Interpretation with New York actress/teacher Donna Marrazzo and Commercial, Monologue, and Scene Study with New York actor/teacher/casting director Barry Kolker.
Notably, Robert worked as the Unit Production Manager & Re-Enactment Coordinator on the documentary "Answering the Call: Ground Zeros Volunteers" narrated by Kathleen Turner. He is also the Co-producer with his business partner Sonny Vellozzi on the films "A Sicilian Tale" and "The Red Corvette" and has been producing the Web Series "Finders Keepers" and is currently in production with their feature film "Without You."
Robert has also worked behind the camera on many films as an Editor, Sound Engineer, Special Effects & Assistant Cameraman.
In the film "How Do You Know," Robert received his first speaking role as the locksmith from Director James L. Brooks, starring Reese Witherspoon, Owen Wilson, Paul Rudd, and Jack Nicholson. His next role was as the coffee shop owner in the film "Limitless" directed by Neil Burger, starring Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro.
