Robert P. Young, a distinguished alumnus of Harvard's prestigious Visual and Environmental Studies Film Program, further honed his skills at the esteemed California Institute of Arts.
During his time at Harvard, Young showcased his versatility as a filmmaker by directing, shooting, and editing numerous 16 mm film and digital video projects, resulting in a collection of captivating short documentaries and narratives. His senior thesis, the documentary "COOKING TO LIVE", premiered at the 2010 Blue Water Film Festival in Port Huron, Michigan, garnering significant attention.
Young's creative endeavors continued to flourish with the production of "REAGAN RETURNS", a political satire that screened at The Reel Festival 3 in Somerville, Massachusetts in 2011. Additionally, he appeared as a co-star in Wilbert Berthaud's Indie Spirit Award-winning feature film "UNDERGROUND", which received a limited theatrical release in New Bedford, Massachusetts and is now available on DVD.
Robert P. Young's impressive portfolio extends beyond his filmmaking accomplishments. He was recognized by the United States Department of State for his expertise in advising delegates of the Indonesian Film Industry on how to increase their competitiveness in the global market.
Most recently, Young had the privilege of being a benefactor and master class student of the renowned director Spike Lee, further solidifying his status as a respected figure in the film industry.
