Robert's debut feature film, "After the Flood", premiered in competition at the prestigious Dances With Films and the Austin Film Festival. Its subsequent invitation to screen in competition at the 17th Mar del Plata International Film Festival in Argentina in March 2002, showcased his work on a global stage. The screenplay, originally titled "Cake", was a finalist in the 1997 Slamdance Screenplay Competition, demonstrating Robert's talent and dedication to his craft.
Robert's success continued with the Grand Prize for Best Director at the 2002 Rhode Island International Film Festival for his film. His second feature film, "White of Winter", for which he also wrote the screenplay, earned an official selection at the 2003 Sundance Film Festival, solidifying his reputation as a talented filmmaker.
As a sought-after expert, Robert has been invited to participate as a panelist at the Sundance Film Festival, the IFP/LA's Digital Conference, and the Central Standard Film Festival in Minneapolis. His multifaceted skills extend beyond directing, as he also works as a producer, editor, and post-production supervisor in the independent film, music video, and live music industries.
Robert's latest achievement is the Special Jury Award for Exceptional Artistic Achievement at the 2009 CineVegas Film Festival for his third feature film, "Godspeed".
