Robert Shannon was born in the United Kingdom in 1975, with a rich heritage rooted in Irish and Italian cultures, despite being a true Londoner, born and bred in the vibrant city.
Following his departure from The London Film School, Rob has accumulated over two decades of professional experience in the industry, having worked on a diverse range of projects, including television dramas, independent films, studio films, and mainstream commercials, both in front of and behind the camera.
Throughout his illustrious career, Rob has been fortunate enough to collaborate with some of the most esteemed performers in the industry, including the talented Cate Blanchette, Michael Gambon, Billy Crudup, Ray Winstone, Stephen Graham, Jude Law, Charles Dance, and Benedict Cumberbatch, as well as award-winning directors such as David Blair and Gillian Armstrong.
Rob is perhaps most famously known for his captivating portrayal of the heroic figure, 'Verus', in the BBC's most ambitious and budgeted documentary-drama to date, 'The Colosseum'.
In addition to his impressive acting credits, Rob has also ventured into production and direction, bringing his creative vision to life through feature films and television series that have garnered international recognition.
