Biography

Robert Wenzek, the son of German immigrants, embarked on a life-changing journey when he moved from Calgary, Alberta, to Vancouver, British Columbia, in the early 1990s to complete his academic pursuits at the University of British Columbia.

As a multifaceted creative, Robert has dedicated himself to mentoring and guiding numerous music videos and short films at The Art Institute of Vancouver, where he has been an esteemed instructor since 2002. His extensive expertise encompasses music video production, documentary production, short film production, screenwriting, directing, and editing.

Throughout his illustrious career, Robert has helmed a diverse array of projects, including numerous short films and music videos. His editing prowess has also been showcased in documentaries produced for esteemed networks such as Knowledge Network, Global Television, and APTN.

Beyond his work in narrative filmmaking, Robert has made significant contributions to the realm of documentaries, and has also edited numerous multi-screen projection shows that have been exhibited globally. One notable example includes the NASA production of "Blast Off" for Space Center Houston, as well as "Earth Rangers" for the Royal Ontario Museum.

In January 2001, Robert, along with his partner Katharine Montagu, co-founded Write Shoot Edit Productions, a production company that has served as a platform for his creative endeavors.
