Robert Gilabert Cuenca, professionally known as Roberto GC or Luo Wei in Chinese, was born in Tarragona, Spain in 1984. From the tender age of five, Roberto began to explore various martial arts, and by the time he was 15, he had specialized in Chinese Martial Arts, specifically Wushu. As a teenager, he started his acting career in theatrical shows and went on to pursue his GCE in Fine Arts and Performing Arts at a high school.
In 2008, Roberto's passion for performing arts and Chinese martial arts led him to China, where he continued his studies at Beijing Sports University as a martial arts instructor. He later specialized in choreography for action movies and acting courses at the Beijing Film Academy.
Following his studies, Roberto embarked on a career as an actor and director at the Beijing Playhouse English Broadway theater. Just two years later, he transitioned to working as a freelance actor, screenwriter, and director, focusing on Chinese films and co-productions between China and foreign countries. Since then, Roberto has been involved in various projects, including films, TV shows, commercials, short films, and documentaries.
By the end of 2019, Roberto returned to Spain and pursued a Master's degree in Film Directing and Screenplay at the University of San Jorge de Zaragoza through the CPA (Academy of Film and Audiovisual Studies).
Throughout his illustrious career, Roberto G.C. has not only established himself as a professional actor, co-director, and screenwriter with extensive experience in audiovisual productions and exceptional ability to work with scripts in multiple languages, including Chinese, English, Spanish, and Valencian, but has also excelled as a stunt actor and martial artist for action films of national and international stature.
