Roberto Gutiérrez Frías, a retired Mexican professional wrestler and wrestling trainer, has made a lasting impact on the sport under his iconic ring name El Dandy. As a cousin of professional wrestler Juan Conrado Aguilar, also known as El Texano, and uncle to Aguilar's sons who wrestle as El Texano Jr. and Súper Nova, Gutiérrez's wrestling lineage is deeply rooted.
Throughout his illustrious career, spanning from 1981 to the present day, Gutiérrez has wrestled for numerous prominent Mexican promotions, including Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre, Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, Universal Wrestling Association, World Wrestling Association, and International Wrestling Revolution Group. He has also had the opportunity to work with international promotions such as World Championship Wrestling, Super World Sports, and International Wrestling Association of Japan.
As a skilled wrestler, Gutiérrez has accumulated an impressive collection of championship titles, including the CMLL World Middleweight Championship three times, the NWA World Light Heavyweight Championship, the NWA World Welterweight Championship twice, the Mexican National Featherweight Championship, Mexican National Light Heavyweight Championship twice, Mexican National Middleweight Championship, Mexican National Welterweight Championship, the WWA World Light Heavyweight Championship, and the WWA World Tag Team Championship Corazón de León.
Gutiérrez has also been a part of notable tag teams, such as Los Fabulosos with Silver King, and has been a member of the Latino World Order group in World Championship Wrestling. One of his most memorable matches was against L.A. Park in 2004, which was voted "Match of the Year" by readers of Box y Lucha magazine.
