Rocky, a renowned director and writer, is the mastermind behind the acclaimed film Guitar Man. With a career spanning multiple disciplines, Rocky began as a Stuntman, Stunt Coordinator, Actor, 2nd unit action director, and Performance Driver.
Born and raised in the San Francisco area, Rocky's early life was marked by a strong connection to boxing. He started boxing at the age of six, training with his brother and father, a Fighter Pilot who boxed in the U.S. Navy. This foundation in combat sports led Rocky to meet actor Robert Conrad, who introduced him to the world of entertainment.
Rocky's early years in Los Angeles were marked by a desire to start his own stunt business in Northern California. He returned to the Bay Area, where he founded the San Francisco Bay Area Stuntman's Association and opened GYM WEST, a boxing gym and training facility named after Bob Conrad's character in Wild Wild West.
As his career progressed, Rocky coordinated and directed stunt work in several Italian films before landing a major break with George Lucas's Industrial Light and Magic. He doubled Bob Hoskins and stunt-coordinated all the Special Effects stunt work for the film Who Framed Roger Rabbit, which led to working with ILM on numerous projects, including Ron Howard's Willow.
Rocky has continued to work with ILM, coordinating stunts for dozens of movies and commercials, as well as other premier effects houses like 3210 Studios. His recent work includes coordinating the EFX stunt work for Jurassic World and Cannibal Reign.
Throughout his illustrious career, Rocky has expanded his scope to encompass most aspects of the film industry, having stunt-coordinated, directed, or performed in over 600 productions. These projects include feature films, television shows, commercials, Motion Capture Video Game work, Music Videos, and shows for the Automobile Industry.
Rocky has had the privilege of working with esteemed directors, including The Wachowskis, George Lucas, Tim Burton, Stephen Soderberg, Tate Taylor, Francis Coppola, Gus Van Zant, Ron Howard, and Chris Columbus, among others.
In addition to his film work, Rocky founded the RCP stunt group in 1990 and the RCP charities a few years later. The RCP charities' annual "Caddyshack style" Stuntman Scramble Golf tournament, held in Carmel, California, is a beloved event in the industry, raising funds for charitable programs and educational scholarships.
