Rod Ball was born in Miami, Florida in 1965, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey in the world of acting. His professional career took off with a small yet significant role in the biopic "Lenny", starring the legendary Dustin Hoffman and directed by the iconic Bob Fosse. This early success qualified him to join the esteemed Screen Actors Guild (now SAG-AFTRA),where he would later serve on the Local Board for many years.
Rod's academic pursuits took him to the University of Miami, where he initially studied Business Management, in addition to exploring his passion for film directing and theater. After two years, he transferred to the University of Colorado (Boulder),graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management.
Throughout his career, Rod has amassed an impressive body of work, dividing his time between South Florida and Los Angeles. In addition to the notable films and television shows listed here, his credits include over 50 commercials, numerous corporate and industry videos, voice overs, and the occasional stage play.
With a keen eye for future projects, Rod has several ventures in the pipeline. A few years ago, he launched Principio Productions, LLC, an independent film production company, with the goal of bringing his written screenplays to life in his beloved hometown.
