Rohan Quine is an actor, producer, and author of literary fiction with a touch of magical realism and a dusting of horror. He grew up in South London, spent a few years in L.A., and then a decade in New York, where he worked on various film and television projects.
His novel "The Beasts of Electra Drive" won the NYC Big Book Award in 2021 and was a finalist in the I.A.N. Book of the Year Awards in 2018. It's a prequel to his other five tales and a good place to start.
Quine's novel "The Imagination Thief" is available as an ebook with links to film, audio, and photographic content. It's about a web of secrets triggered by the stealing and copying of people's imaginations and memories.
He has also published four novellas, "The Platinum Raven", "The Host in the Attic", "Apricot Eyes", and "Hallucination in Hong Kong", which are available as separate ebooks and as a single paperback.
All of Quine's titles are available in audiobook and video-book format, performed by the author himself.
Critics have praised Quine's work, with Dan Holloway of the Guardian Books blog calling him "one of the most original voices in the literary world today - and one of the most brilliant." Suzi Rapport praised "The Beasts of Electra Drive" for its "sensual ballet of rich characterization, alluring subtlety and originality." JJ Marsh in "Bookmuse" called "The Imagination Thief" a "kaleidoscopic, elemental ballet" with a "swooping eloquence" that had her "hypnotized."
Debbie Young in "Vine Leaves Literary Journal" praised Quine's "rich, inventive and original prose" and his ability to blend contemporary and ancient icons and themes.
