Throughout his illustrious career, he has received numerous accolades, including the Hessians' Young Talent Award for his outstanding performance in "Mädchen am Sonntag" (2005).
In 2010, his film "Bedways" premiered at the esteemed Berlinale, and went on to open the competition section Perspectives at the renowned Moscow Film Festival.
He further expanded his international reach with his first English-language film "Ecstasy", which was featured in competition at the Tallinn Black Nights film festival in 2017.
Most recently, his 2021 film "Als Susan Sontag im Publikum saß" won the coveted jury award at the Frankfurt International Film Festival.
