Roman Mitichyan's extraordinary journey began in Vanadzor, Armenia, where he first discovered his passion for free-style wrestling at the tender age of eight. As his skills continued to evolve, he transitioned to the art of Sambo-Judo under the guidance of the esteemed Baxshik Saroyan. It wasn't long before Roman's natural aptitude for the sport earned him the title of Champion in Armenia.
In 1997, Roman and his family made the bold decision to relocate to the United States, where he joined the prestigious Hayastan Judo Club under the tutelage of world-renowned grapplers Gene Lebell and Gokor Chivichyan.
Roman's impressive career milestones include winning the 1st place title in the USJI National Championship in 2006. Furthermore, he has achieved the distinction of being a world Bronze medalist in Sambo, and has maintained an impressive 15-3 record as an active MMA fighter.
