Roman Wyden is an award-winning writer, producer, and director with a diverse range of creative projects under his belt. His impressive credits include the Eleanor Roosevelt award-winning documentary "Max", the short festival darling "Ricky Limon", "Hiroko", "Ronnie & Inga", and the Palm Springs International Short Film Festival winner "Deface", which is currently making its way through the 2019 festival circuit.
Roman has also played a crucial role in the development of international projects, such as the TV show concept "Hollywood Dreams", which was optioned by Paramount International Television, the Swiss Web series "Hallo Hollywood" owned by Ringier AG, and the German TV Pilot "L.A. Dreams".
In addition to his work in film and television, Roman has a strong background in theater, having directed the critically acclaimed production of "You can't take it with you" for the Silver Lake Players in 2004.
Roman's experience as an actor is equally impressive, having studied at Playhouse West and the Actor's Workout Studio for over five years. He is a member of SAG/Aftra and still acts and does voiceovers when the opportunity arises.
Before transitioning to directing and producing commercials, Roman spent a year as the head of the commercial department at Bicoastal Talent, representing a roster of seasoned commercial actors.
Roman has a long history of founding creative companies, having established the production companies "HD Productions", "Creable Films", and most recently "Roster.LA". For the past ten years, he has run Culver City-based roster.LA, a commercial production company focused on delivering narrative content to multinational clients such as Chrysler, Proctor & Gamble, Kimberly Clark, and the VA. During his time at roster.LA, Roman directed over a dozen commercials, PSAs, and online content, and oversaw and produced close to 100 creative projects for his clients.
When not making films, Roman hosts the popular iTunes podcast "You. Love. Life.", where he discusses a range of topics related to love, sex, intimacy, marriage, monogamy, and more with a variety of interesting guests.
Born and raised in Brig, Switzerland, Roman holds a BFA in Directing from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.
