Ronaldo Tumbokon, professionally known as Ronnie, is a renowned playwright, television, and screenplay writer who has achieved numerous accolades from prestigious contests. The Cultural Center of the Philippines, the Don Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards, the Film Academy of the Philippines, and the Centennial Literary Competition have all recognized his exceptional work with top prizes.
Throughout his illustrious career, Ronnie has held various roles. He served as the Creative Research Head in Viva Films, overseeing a wide range of projects. Subsequently, he took on the role of Pre-production manager, utilizing his expertise to bring productions to life. As a creative consultant for Viva Television, Ronnie conceptualized and crafted scripts for several notable TV shows, including Ober da Bakod, which later became two successful movies. He also worked on Viva Spotlight, a popular GMA 7 program.
In addition to his work in television, Ronnie has consulted for Neo Films, a company affiliated with Star Cinema, and ABC 5. In these roles, he supervised the writers' pool for various shows, including Wow Mali and Eezy Dancing. His work on the multi-award-winning comedy satire Ispup further solidified his reputation as a talented and versatile writer.
