Rory Wilton, a multifaceted individual with a passion for the arts, began his journey in the world of entertainment by graduating from The Hub Theatre School in 1992. This marked the beginning of a successful career that would span across various mediums, including film, television, and stage.
In 1994, Wilton co-founded the Bedlam Theatre Company of Cornwall alongside Emma Spurgin Hussey, with whom he would go on to develop a strong creative partnership. Together, they toured the country, producing innovative and adventurous new writing productions that garnered widespread acclaim.
As the years progressed, Wilton began to make a name for himself in the film and television industry, landing a regular role in the popular TV series Doc Martin in 2009 as Chippy Miller. His portrayal of the lovable character earned him a loyal fan base and paved the way for future projects.
Wilton's breakout role came when he was cast as Richard Tonkin in the BBC's international hit historical drama Poldark, a role that cemented his status as a talented and versatile actor. He also appeared in the hit movie The Fisherman's Friend's, alongside a talented ensemble cast.
Throughout his career, Wilton has worked with numerous independent film and television production companies, fostering strong relationships with film directors and producers. He is a strong advocate for emerging talent, co-running Bedlam Youth Theatre Companies in Cornwall alongside his partner, Emma Spurgin Hussey.
In his free time, Wilton is an avid horse rider, fitness enthusiast, cook, musician, techno geek, and artist. These diverse interests not only provide a creative outlet but also serve as a testament to his multifaceted personality.
